Overseas Investment Project
Sinopharm International is also active in overseas investment. In Jan 2003, VCP Pharmaceutical Joint Stock Company was founded in Vietnam's capital Hanoi, becoming China's first pharmaceutical plant in Vietnam, and Vietnam's first modern antibiotic powder-injection production facility that meets the GMP standard of WHO.
Meanwhile, relying on Sinopharm's strength in Traditional Chinese Medicine(TCM) production, VCP has recently establishded a TCM plant with the GMP certification, which is capable of manufacturing a variety of TCM products in the forms of tablets, capsules, granules, dripping pills, ointment and lotion for external use. VCP has become one of the top 3 antibiotic powder-injection producers in Vietnam and is now enjoying high recognition in the local market. It is not only a landmark in Sinopharm's “Going global" strategy, but also a model in Sino-Vietnam pharmaceutical cooperation.
Medical Aid
Supported by the Chinese government on non-reimbursable assistance and concessional loans, Sinopharm International has been participating in the planning and consultation of medical and health improvement in developing countries, providing general contracting services in pharmaceutical and medical projects. Through comprehensive and integrated service, Sinopharm International is devoted to improving local medical and health conditions.
